About Faro Airport
Faro airport is a good place to take pkotos / slides.
The airpor has a single runway ( 28 - 10 ). The airport is mostly used by charter traffic, but it does received scheduled flights, mainly by British airlines. Is a low-cost paradise .
The best days to visit the airport is Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In the summer, there are always a couple of Bizjets and private planes parked.
Sometimes, you can see delivery flights. Many planes arrive at Faro, for a Technical Stop fore reffueling (in flight to / from Canarias and Madeira).
In the summer the Algarve attracts a lot of tourists.
All British charter airlines can be seen here, as well as all other major European charter airlines and low-cost from Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, Canada and others. The high season starts in April, having its peak in July / August and ending in October.
Spot in the early morning - latter , when runway 28 is in use for departures, you can take photos at push back our landing latter ( RED point. At the lineup position ( YELLOW points ). Along the southside of the Run28 and 10 runs a dirt track which offers great views of the runway. This spot is good almost all day, because the sun is in the back ( PINK points ). If you like on the air, you havea good positions in Rwn10 and Rwn28 ( BLUE points ). After 7:00 pm ORANGE point
Faro airport is located about 7 Km from Faro city and 2 Km from Faro beach. There is a good motorway connection between Faro and the rest of Algarve.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Faro International Airport is located in Ria Formosa Estuary, this is a natural park and preserved by our legislation. Please don't pollute our park.
PLACES TO STAY
There are a lot of hotels and apartments in the Algarve, Vilamoura (18m by car), Albufeira (25m by car), Portimão (40m by car), etc.The best way to spent some time at Faro combined is to with a holiday.
About 2 km's from the airport is a IBIS hotel and Mónaco Hotel. IBIS and Mónacos is close to a big shopping centre called Forúm Algarve. A super market and more than hundred different shops present their goods ton two levels. Several restaurants (McDonalds, Burger Ling, etc) and cinemas offer distraction. Sufficient parking slots are available in the garage underground and outdoors. Opening hours daily 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
